San Antonio’s Two Major Business Organizations Consider a Formal Collaboration

Chamber Chairs Call Move Timely to Protect San Antonio’s Economic Environment

SAN ANTONIO – The Greater San Antonio Chamber and the Metro SA Chamber have unanimously approved the formation of a joint committee aimed at exploring a formal partnership. Leaders from both organizations believe this move could significantly enhance the business community’s influence on vital decisions regarding jobs, investments, and economic growth.

As the largest regional business advocacy groups in San Antonio, their partnership could potentially transform how local employers, small businesses, and civic leaders prioritize major economic initiatives.

“This effort is rooted in the hopes and opportunities we have for this community,” remarked Paul Basaldua, board chair of the Metro SA Chamber, in a news release. He emphasized that the collaboration could better position the business community to advocate for San Antonio, encouraging both small and large-scale investments, both locally and from out-of-state entities.

Kevin C. Dinnin, board chair of the Greater San Antonio Chamber, underscored the urgency: “Now is the time for the business community to protect the economic environment for every family in San Antonio.”
