The Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority (SEEDA) is set to begin preparations for a bid to widen Yellowtail Drive. This project, which includes adding 5-foot gravel shoulders from the Weatherby building to near the Agripark, is in response to increasing traffic due to growth in the hi-tech business park area. The cost is estimated to be under $70,000.
SEEDA Administrator Robert Briggs emphasized that the widening is intended to improve traffic flow for both the existing businesses and the anticipated influx of visitors for Phase 2 of the development. The proposal must be approved by the City of Sheridan’s Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council, with a completion deadline by the end of the year.
