Rohtak Family’s Pet Dog Abandoned During Darjeeling-Gangtok Trip; Travel Agency Ordered to Refund ₹93,000

A Rohtak family’s planned vacation turned distressing when hotels denied them accommodation due to their pet dog, Jhonny. Despite informing their travel agency about the dog, they faced multiple issues including itinerary changes and inadequate transportation. The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission found the travel agency guilty of poor service and unfair practices, ruling that they must refund ₹93,000, along with interest and compensation. The family’s struggles, exacerbated by the agency’s failure to provide the promised services and assistance, were acknowledged in the ruling.
