ICE agent hits man with vehicle while chasing him in Texas, officials report.

A man named Miguel Parra-Hernandez was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle driven by an ICE agent during an alleged pursuit in Harris County, Texas. The incident occurred on October 10, 2026, near Houston, when an ICE agent attempted to arrest another man, Jose Mendoza-Cervantes, who reportedly has a criminal record and a final order of removal.

According to law enforcement, the agent first made a call for an ambulance after the incident. Parra-Hernandez appeared to have suffered a broken leg and is currently in ICE custody, although his criminal history has not been disclosed.

Reports indicated that the ICE agent was pursuing Mendoza-Cervantes and Parra-Hernandez when they fled their vehicle on foot. Surveillance footage shows the agent maneuvering the vehicle towards Parra-Hernandez, resulting in the collision. ICE claims that Parra-Hernandez “ran in front of an ICE vehicle.”

Harris County officials are urging ICE to fully cooperate in the investigation, and the local authorities are collecting video evidence from nearby buildings. As of now, no arrests have been made in relation to the incident, and the driver of the ICE vehicle has not been found.

This incident follows a recent event in New York City where ICE agents shot a man during an attempted arrest, sparking condemnation from city officials.
