Which prominent retailer aims to offer Internet services via space technology?

For the last five years, SpaceX’s Starlink has led the market for Internet service from space with its extensive satellite constellation. However, Amazon is set to unveil its own satellites soon, signaling an emerging competition. The Amazon Leo project has successfully completed its 1,000th satellite, which will be launched using the Vulcan rocket, and commercial access is expected to roll out in a few weeks. Rajeev Badyal, the project’s director and a former Starlink leader, mentioned that each satellite can now be built in just one to two weeks.

With SpaceX being the sole provider of space Internet services for consumers and businesses until now, Amazon’s upcoming launch has garnered significant interest. Delta Air Lines, for instance, has announced a transition to Amazon for in-flight Internet service.
