Reese’s Unveils Competition for the Top Halloween Neighborhood in America, Featuring Celebrity Judges

Halloween: The Ultimate Neighborhood Celebration

Every neighborhood has that one house that takes Halloween to the next level. You know the one: the front yard resembles a haunted cemetery, the decorations look like they belong on a movie set, and the homeowners generously hand out full-size candy bars.

Then there are entire neighborhoods that embrace the Halloween spirit wholeheartedly. From battling skeletons to glowing jack-o’-lanterns lining the sidewalks, these areas attract trick-or-treaters from miles around.

Reese’s Nationwide Search for Halloween’s Best Neighborhood

If you live in one of those festive neighborhoods, there’s exciting news. Reese’s is on the lookout for America’s “Trick-or-Treatiest Street,” and they’ve enlisted some iconic characters from beloved spooky movies to help judge the competition.

The candy brand aims to recognize neighborhoods that truly embrace Halloween, and with 150 streets already vying for the title, picking a winner will require some serious expertise.

A Star-Studded Halloween Council

Who better to assess the Halloween spirit than Wednesday Addams and a member of the Sanderson sisters? Christina Ricci, famed for her role as Wednesday in The Addams Family, and Kathy Najimy, who portrayed Mary Sanderson in Hocus Pocus, are part of Reese’s inaugural Halloween Council.

The council will also include content creators like Rachel Iwanyszyn, Zaire Alford, and Macy Blackwell. Together, they’ll evaluate the contenders and determine which neighborhood deserves to be crowned the ultimate Halloween destination.

According to Ricci, the best Halloween streets are not merely defined by elaborate décor or high budgets. It’s about creating an atmosphere that draws trick-or-treaters back year after year, fostering a sense of community for all ages.

How Reese’s Chooses the Best Neighborhood

Before consulting its Halloween experts, Reese’s conducted thorough research, analyzing candy and costume purchasing trends, decorations, walkability, and community engagement. They surveyed 15,000 Americans to identify 150 streets across the country where Halloween is celebrated as more than just another day.

The coveted prize? The winning street, announced on October 21, will receive a Reese’s-sponsored Halloween block party in partnership with Zillow, complete with Reese’s Halloween favorites and a special trick-or-treating experience.

Curious if your neighborhood made the list? You can check out the full roster of 150 streets on Reese’s website. Even if your street doesn’t claim the title, there’s still time to add decorations, carve pumpkins, and stock up on those irresistibly sweet peanut butter cups.

After all, Halloween isn’t just about winning; it’s about the fun and spirit of community—though a neighborhood filled with free Reese’s candy sure wouldn’t hurt!
