P and Z Grants Approval for High Ridge RV and Boat Storage Venture | Business News

The Jefferson County Planning and Zoning Commission recently approved a preliminary plan for a 136-space RV and boat storage lot in High Ridge, to be located on the former Tire Shredders property at 4519 Commerce Ave. The unanimous vote took place on September 24, and the County Council will review the development plan in an upcoming October meeting.

The new storage lot, designed by David W. Dobbs, aims to utilize the 8-acre site more lightly compared to its former use. It will consist of 136 bays of various sizes to accommodate both boats and RVs. Although the lots will not be covered, the facility will feature minimal lighting for security, allowing for 24-hour access via key card. The largest planned storage bay will be 45 feet, suitable for large travel trailers and motorhomes.

Charlie Vogt, the property’s new owner, ensured that the site was tested for hazardous waste from prior operations before his purchase.
