Haymaker Buns Launches Nationwide Shipping, Transforms Burlington Cafe into Production Facility

Haymaker Buns Is Growing: A Look at Their Evolution

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. (WCAX) – Demand for Haymaker Buns is soaring as the popular Middlebury bun company begins shipping nationwide and reconfigures one of its cafes into a production facility.

Owner and chef Caroline Corrente recalls starting Haymaker in her home kitchen in 2017, juggling baking with caring for her newborn. “I could fit 24 buns in my little home oven,” she shares. Fast forward to today, and Haymaker has grown significantly, even earning a James Beard Award nomination.

With hundreds of thousands of baked goods sold across their cafes in Middlebury and Burlington, Haymaker has exceeded its original goals. Their famous brioche cinnamon buns are now available in over 50 stores across New England and New York, as well as online.

These hand-rolled buns are fully baked and ready to be enjoyed after a quick reheating. “This product stemmed from customer requests to bake buns at home,” Corrente explains.

In response to increasing demand, Haymaker will close its Burlington retail location after October 17. The space will be repurposed as a production facility, ramping up wholesale operations while maintaining their Middlebury location.

As they evolve, Haymaker is committed to enhancing their offerings with hundreds of new flavors in the pipeline. “We have a full arsenal ready to launch,” Corrente says, looking forward to this new chapter.
