This collaboration introduces local payment methods alongside traditional credit and debit card options, enabling players to purchase game content more easily.
Local Payment Integration
The initiative includes popular local methods such as:
- Brazil: Pix
- Mexico: SPEI
- Peru: PagoEfectivo
- Mercado Pago wallets available throughout the region.
This partnership aims to improve payment access, particularly since many adults in Latin America lack credit cards. Data reveals that only 25% of adults in the region have a credit card, while over half have made digital payments. For example, Pix is used by nearly 96% of Brazil’s adult population, yet around 60 million individuals do not have a credit card.
Impact on Revenue
EBANX also noted that integrating local payment options has led to significant revenue increases for merchants. Some integrations reported growth as high as 37% within six months for Pix, and 46% for SPEI in Mexico, and 19% for PagoEfectivo in Peru.
Gaming Market Growth
The gaming market in these five countries is projected to reach USD 8.4 billion by 2026, with Brazil alone accounting for USD 3.8 billion. Growth rates show a promising trend, with a 6.4% increase in 2025, exceeding rates in North America and Europe.
Expansion of APAC Companies
This partnership highlights the increasing trend of APAC companies entering Latin American markets. EBANX, based in Singapore with a significant presence in various regions, experienced a 48% growth in payment volume in 2025, largely driven by its services to global gaming companies.
