Business owners on Pike Street in Canonsburg are expressing frustration over a rise in vandalism and disruptive behavior by a group of young teens. Andrew Andronas, owner of Midtown Market, has reported significant damage to his restaurant, including restrooms being vandalized. Despite his efforts to create a family-friendly venue, he faces ongoing issues with cleanliness and respect.
Jenelle Pasch, who runs ReLoved Resale Consignment Shop, shares similar concerns, noting recent vandalism outside her store. Canonsburg’s police chief acknowledged an increase in juvenile mischief, including a recent incident where teens threw items at cars. He emphasized that property damage is unacceptable and that the department is working to hold offenders accountable.
Andronas also mentioned his disappointment in seeing young people he tried to help repeat destructive behaviors. Police are urging anyone with information about the teens to come forward.
