Jamie McKay, fleet manager for Aptive Pest Control, has been awarded the 2026 Fleet Visionary Award, sponsored by Merchants Fleet. The award honors professionals with ten or fewer years of fleet experience who introduce innovative ideas to their organizations.
Since joining Aptive in July 2020 as the company’s first in-house fleet manager, McKay has played a vital role in streamlining operations. She oversees around 2,100 vehicles and anticipates an additional 300 units by 2026. McKay consolidated vehicle management under a single fleet management company, creating a centralized data source, which has enhanced lifecycle and replacement decision-making.
Her initiatives also incorporate driver feedback, leading to practical changes like the addition of key fobs and sun-line tinting. McKay emphasizes sustainability by balancing financial responsibility with the fleet’s needs and future growth. Expressing gratitude, she acknowledged the support of her team and the fleet community’s spirit of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
