Bar and Restaurant Rebranding in Round Rock
A long-established bar and restaurant in downtown Round Rock is returning to its original name, Alcove, in preparation for expansion. Owner Michelle Ly confirmed this change in September following the end of a business partnership that resulted in the previous name, Sociedad.
New Venue Opening
On September 25, a new country-western-inspired venue called The Fair will open, featuring a stage, pool table, and full bar. This venue is an expansion of Alcove’s space and will maintain the same menu.
Ly emphasized that both Alcove and The Fair pay tribute to the building’s historical businesses.
Modernized Experience
With a renovated space and updated menu, Ly describes the new Alcove as a modernized take on the original concept. She envisions it as an elevated date night destination with live music on the patio and a versatile country-western theme all in one location.
