Celebrating Forensic Science Week
The Department of Forensic and Investigative Science has much to celebrate, boasting the largest crime scene complex in the country and the unique distinction of being the only R1 forensic science department offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees nationwide. The department has also maintained continuous accreditation since 2004.
With a remarkable 90% job placement rate for graduates, the faculty brings over 300 years of combined practical crime lab and academic experience, enriching the educational journey of their students.
Join faculty and students from September 20-26 in celebrating National Forensic Science Week. This week-long event features activities designed to showcase the diverse disciplines within the field.
Participants can look forward to daily themed dress-up challenges, trivia, puzzles, and various engaging activities. The week will culminate on Friday, September 25, with WVU Forensics Day, where everyone is encouraged to proudly wear their favorite forensic gear.
