The 2026 Twin Cities STEM Goes Red event is set to empower high school female students to explore careers in STEM fields, with Heather Landon from Slalom Consulting, LLC, serving as the executive volunteer chair. This initiative, part of the American Heart Association’s efforts, aims to inspire young women to consider futures as cardiologists, researchers, scientists, and technology leaders.
Scheduled for October 5, 2026, at The Bakken Museum, the event will feature a panel of industry leaders, networking opportunities, and workshops. Attendees will engage with local experts and gain insights into STEM careers that can significantly impact health care and innovation.
The STEM Goes Red event underscores the importance of diverse voices in STEM, encouraging young women to pursue careers that shape the future. Launched in 2017, this initiative is part of the Go Red for Women® movement, which focuses on improving women’s heart health and advocating for inclusive health policies.
