Round 3 of the DRIVEN Charger Rebate Stream Now Open

The DRIVEN Charger Rebate Stream is currently accepting applications. This program has already facilitated over 400 car dealerships and EV repair businesses in acquiring and installing smart fixed EV chargers or portable DC EV chargers during Rounds 1 and 2.

Key Updates for Round 3:

  • Expanded Funding: In response to industry feedback, Round 3 now covers a broader range of costs associated with transitioning to EV servicing and repairs, including:

    • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
    • High-voltage toolkits
    • Battery diagnostics equipment
    • And more.
  • Increased Site Cap: The site cap has been raised to $50,000, acknowledging that preparing workshops for EV servicing involves more than just charger installation.

Additional Support Offered:

  • EV Charging Rebates: Up to $3,000 per plug, capped at $21,000 within the site cap.
  • Third-party Fees: Up to $250 to cover application assistance costs.

Eligibility

Automotive dealerships and EV repairers are encouraged to verify their eligibility before applying.

The DRIVEN Program supports the automotive sector in increasing the sale, service, and repair of EVs, contributing to the acceleration of EV adoption in Australia and helping reduce vehicle emissions.
