Polestar Announces Design Concept for Formula 2030

Polestar has unveiled the Formula 2030 concept car, showcasing its design direction as part of its strategy for achieving growth and profitability by 2030. Under the leadership of Head of Design Philipp Römers, the concept features an evolution of Polestar’s Scandinavian design language, retaining brand-defining elements like the Dual Blade headlights.

The Formula 2030 provides a preview of the upcoming Polestar 2, set to launch in 2027, and the Polestar 7. The design team focused on exterior and interior aesthetics, materials, and sustainability while maintaining visual continuity with existing models.

Römers emphasized the need for a “bold evolution” of the brand’s design, ensuring it remains recognizable and characterful. The concept was first displayed to select investors and customers at an event in Gothenburg and will have its global debut in 2026, alongside the Polestar 4 SUV.
