Audi A2 e-tron Launches with 12.8 kWh/100 km Efficiency Rating

Audi has launched the A2 e-tron, a compact electric vehicle aimed at competing with volume brands in the market. With an entry price of €38,200 (approximately $41,600), it features a remarkable energy consumption rate of 12.8 kWh per 100 km, making it the most efficient Audi in history.

Key Features:

  • Power Levels: Ranging from 125 kW to 240 kW.
  • Battery Sizes: Options include 52 kWh, 61 kWh, and 84 kWh.
  • WLTP Range: Maximum range of 646 km.
  • Aerodynamics: A drag coefficient of 0.24 for enhanced efficiency.

Charging Capabilities:

  • Standard Bidirectional Charging: Supports Vehicle-to-Load and, in specific regions, Vehicle-to-Home charging through compatible DC wall boxes.

Production Insights:

The A2 e-tron is manufactured at Audi’s Ingolstadt plant, utilizing existing production assets and redeployed robots, achieving a production timeline 21 months faster than previous models.

Executive Statement:

Gernot Döllner, Audi’s Chief Executive, emphasized that the A2 e-tron symbolizes Audi’s renewed approach to premium mobility, combining intelligent resource use without compromising on quality and technology.

Availability:

The A2 e-tron will be available for order starting September 10, 2026, with initial deliveries expected in December.
