GreatWater is expanding into Houston with the acquisition of Clutch Automotive, which operates seven locations in the area, bringing GreatWater’s total to 170 locations. Clutch will retain its name and leadership, with founder Matthew Schwab as an acquisition consultant. Andrew Boone will serve as the new district manager, and Trent Barger will act as the director of integration to facilitate smooth onboarding and future growth.
GreatWater views retaining Clutch’s leadership as essential for maintaining team culture, customer relationships, and local knowledge. CEO Jim Dykstra emphasized the importance of this partnership in entering one of the largest automotive service markets in the U.S. The acquisition aims to strengthen local shops by leveraging GreatWater’s comprehensive support across various business operations.
GreatWater 360 Auto Care is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and is noted as one of the largest tire dealerships in the U.S.
