Polestar introduces an SUV variant to the Polestar 4 lineup.

Polestar has unveiled its Polestar 4 SUV, which is an evolution of the electric performance coupé. This model features a more upright roofline and offers a significant cargo capacity of 1,665 liters, alongside vehicle-to-load (V2L) power functionality—meaning it can supply power to external devices.

Key Features:

  • Pricing: Starts at £54,750 (approximately $70,000 in the US).
  • Production: Ongoing in Busan, South Korea, with initial deliveries anticipated in Q4 2026.

Powertrain Options:

  1. Dual-Motor AWD:
    • Output: 400 kW
    • 0-62 mph: 3.9 seconds
    • WLTP Range: 373 miles
  2. Rear-Motor Variant:
    • Output: 200 kW
    • WLTP Range: 391 miles

Both versions utilize a 100 kWh battery capable of DC fast charging at 200 kW.

Innovative Technology:

  • V2L Functionality: Supply up to 3.3 kW of AC power to external devices.
  • Camping Mode: Provides climate control, entertainment, and connectivity when parked.
  • Google Gemini AI: Enhanced voice control system allowing for multi-turn dialogue and functionalities like trip planning.
