Recently, Sage, a provider of accounting and business solutions, introduced a suite of new tools and options aimed at simplifying the process for developers and partners. These enhancements facilitate the building, launching, and scaling of solutions within the framework of the Atlanta-based company’s offerings.
The latest updates present a more integrated developer experience across Sage Intacct, Sage X3, and Sage Active. This approach is designed to help partners create solutions more efficiently, allowing them to “build once, integrate seamlessly, and bring products to market more swiftly,” according to a media release dated April 29.
For end-users, the improvements lead to faster access to interconnected tools, increased automation in workflows, and solutions that are more closely aligned with their operational needs, Sage emphasized.
During its Sage Future event in San Francisco, the company also showcased new artificial intelligence development tools, including Sage Agent Builder and the AI Gateway.
“These tools offer partners a systematic way to design, test, and implement AI-driven experiences within Sage workflows, such as Sage Copilot and Sage Marketplace,” Sage stated.
In addition to these innovative tools, Sage is rolling out more flexible pricing and revenue models, featuring usage-based pricing and revenue sharing. These adjustments aim to enable partners to scale their businesses more predictably as user adoption increases.

“These updates prioritize making it easier for partners to develop and expand their endeavors with Sage,” stated Manav Thiara, Senior Vice President and Technical Fellow of Data Digital Services and Engineering at Sage. “We are streamlining the developer experience across our platform and equipping partners with the tools and commercial frameworks necessary to transition from concept to execution more rapidly, all while ensuring the solutions are secure, scalable, and ready for real-world conditions.”
With a more cohesive platform and specialized AI tools, Sage believes its partners can create solutions that integrate smoothly into financial and operational workflows, thereby reducing complexity and accelerating the time to market.
“Empowering partners to build with assurance is central to our strategy. Enhancements in onboarding, sandbox environments, and certification paths facilitate secure solution development and deployment. Moreover, improvements to Sage Verify bolster authentication and business identity without adding unnecessary obstacles,” the company added.
“These enhancements are part of Sage’s ongoing commitment to investing in its platform as a foundation for innovation within its ecosystem, including the expansion of embedded services such as accounting, payroll, carbon accounting, and expense management, which further enhance the capabilities available to customers through Sage.”
“For small and medium-sized enterprises, this translates to greater access to a diverse array of solutions provided through Sage’s partner ecosystem, enabling them to simplify processes, rapidly adopt new functionalities, and enhance day-to-day finance and operations management.”
