Berger refers to racing the F1 Frankenstein Cars in wet conditions as a ‘mockery.’

Gerhard Berger has criticized Formula 1’s management of wet races, describing the handling as a “farce” and questioning the justification for stopping the race start at Sepang due to software issues. He emphasized the need to determine responsibility between the FIA and individual teams, noting that Fernando Alonso reported no issues. Berger argued against penalizing teams that perform well, suggesting that those with superior setups, like Red Bull, should not be affected by others’ technical failures. He lamented the current trend where wet races are treated more cautiously, likening it to practices in the USA and highlighting the unpredictability and challenges that wet conditions used to present in F1.
