Prospect Man Taken into Custody for Suspected Stalking and Harassment of Former Business Associate

A Prospect man, Michael Palmerie, aged 66, has been arrested for allegedly stalking and harassing his former business partner in the mortuary services industry. The investigation began in May after the victim, who owns a local funeral home, reported numerous incidents of harassment, including threats of violence and vandalism to his business. The disputes stem from a falling out between the partners in 2014, which escalated when Palmerie allegedly took actions regarding the business without the victim’s consent. Palmerie was also accused of following the victim’s wife and blocking her vehicle in a church parking lot. He turned himself in after authorities issued a warrant and has been charged with stalking causing emotional distress. He was released on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on October 22nd.
