Autodesk has announced that Diana Colella will be its new executive vice president for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) business, succeeding Amy Bunszel. Bunszel will stay on until November 2, 2026, to ensure a smooth transition.
Colella’s leadership comes as Autodesk aims to leverage its AEC-focused cloud platform, Autodesk Forma, to enhance project intelligence and integrate AI into workflows. CEO Andrew Anagnost praised Colella for her extensive experience and ability to navigate technological changes, positioning her as the right fit to drive the next phase of growth in AEC.
In addition to advancing the Forma strategy, Colella will also continue to oversee desktop products like Revit and Civil 3D, integrating them with Forma workflows. She has nearly three decades of experience at Autodesk, including leadership roles that shaped the AutoCAD business and more recently, the firm’s Media & Entertainment operations.
Colella’s priority is to listen to customer needs and ensure that advancements in Forma and AI translate into practical improvements in project delivery amidst growing complexity in the AEC sector.
