Total Access Elevator Acquires Rival Company

Total Access Elevator, based in Santa Fe Springs, has recently acquired American Elevator, marking its fourth acquisition as it seeks to enhance its market share in Southern California. Founded in 2008 and supported by Century Park Capital Partners since 2024, Total Access is expanding its footprint in a competitive industry where elevator technicians are in high demand.

Adam Zacuto, a principal at Century Park, expressed confidence in the company’s goal to become the leading elevator services provider in the region. The recent acquisition of American Elevator follows last year’s integrations of LA Elevator, Vertical Elevator Solutions, and TRE Elevator, the latter allowing the company to install advanced machine-room-less elevators.

The elevator servicing market, characterized by numerous small, family-owned businesses, has attracted private equity due to steady demand and the potential for recurring revenue through maintenance and repair. With a growing number of older elevators needing modernization, the sector is poised for significant growth. Since Century Park’s involvement, Total Access has nearly doubled its workforce and expanded into San Diego, securing $18.3 million in debt financing from Gladstone Capital Corp. to facilitate this growth.
