Bergstrom Automotive’s Drive for a Cure Raises Over $43,000 for Breast Cancer Research
MADISON, Wis. — Bergstrom Automotive held its annual Drive for a Cure fundraiser, successfully raising more than $43,857 to support breast cancer research programs in Wisconsin. The events took place on September 25 and continued through Friday and Saturday in Appleton, Oshkosh, and Madison.
This year’s fundraiser generated $35,026 from guest test drives and an additional $8,831 from donations and social media initiatives. Since its inception, the Drive for a Cure campaign has now raised over $745,000.
As part of the initiative, Bergstrom donated $1 for every mile driven during test drives taken by participants aged 21 and older. The funds will aid breast cancer research programs at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center.
Participants enjoyed complimentary food, refreshments, and commemorative T-shirts. Bergstrom Automotive Executive Chairman John Bergstrom remarked, “Every mile driven and every dollar raised represents our shared commitment to advancing research and helping create a future where fewer lives are impacted by this disease.”
All proceeds from the event will directly support the Medical College of Wisconsin and UW Carbone Cancer Center. Attendees also had the opportunity to write messages on a vehicle to honor breast cancer survivors and those who have passed away due to the illness.
