The EPA’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP) is working on improving methods for assessing chemicals and pesticides to tackle a significant backlog of evaluations. Scientists from the recently dissolved Office of Research and Development have been transferred to assist in this effort. A recent meeting hosted by the Toxicology Forum focused on the ongoing research and strategies being implemented by OCSPP to address these pressing assessment challenges. This initiative aims to enhance the agency’s capabilities in managing chemical safety and regulation more efficiently.
