The Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics (OSSM) has opened enrollment for its tuition-free residential program aimed at high school juniors and seniors interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). Students will have the opportunity to live on campus and take college-level classes taught by faculty with Ph.D.s.
Lauren Feil, OSSM’s dean of admissions, seeks students who are curious and looking for academic challenges. The school emphasizes the development of valuable soft skills like teamwork and communication.
OSSM is funded by the state, covering tuition, meals, and books, which allows students from various backgrounds, including those from rural areas, to access quality education.
Interested students must submit essays, recommendation letters, ACT scores, and other materials before enrollment closes in March. For more details, visit the OSSM admissions page.
