The U.S. Small Business Administration is hosting a disaster recovery information event on Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Little Dixie Regional Library in Moberly. The meeting will focus on repair options for vehicles, homes, and businesses, as well as strategies for maintaining business operations.
Low-interest federal disaster loans are available for those affected by severe weather in Randolph and Saline Counties from late April. Up to $2 million in physical disaster loans can assist businesses and nonprofits with damage repairs. Homeowners and renters can apply for loans up to $100,000 for personal property damage and $500,000 for primary residence damage.
The SBA is also offering Economic Injury Disaster loans for small businesses and nonprofits that incurred financial losses, even without physical damage. Applications for physical damage are due by October 27, while economic injury applications are due by May 28, 2027.
