Buffalo Museum of Science unveils new $3M Science Stadium exhibit

The Buffalo Museum of Science has unveiled a new $3 million permanent exhibit called Science Stadium. Developed in collaboration with the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, and Buffalo Bandits, this exhibit merges STEM education with professional sports through interactive and immersive experiences.

During the grand opening, museum leaders celebrated by breaking mini folding tables, highlighting the exhibit’s playful approach. It’s the first major renovation at the museum since 2018, aimed at showing visitors how science influences everyday life, particularly in sports.

Gary Siddall, the museum’s president and CEO, emphasized that the goal is to demonstrate that science is engaging and practical, beyond traditional textbooks. Penny Semaia, vice president of Stadium Relations for the Buffalo Bills, added that the exhibit will inform young visitors that professional sports encompass much more than just playing on the field, including various roles that contribute to the overall experience.

Additionally, a new exhibit titled “Built for Buffalo” will showcase the engineering involved in constructing Highmark Stadium. Both exhibits will be open to the public starting Saturday.
