Saudi Arabia’s national car manufacturer introduces its inaugural lineup of electric vehicles.

Saudi Arabia’s national automotive company, CEER, has unveiled Exobot, its first flagship electric vehicle (EV) range, featuring an electric sedan and SUV. This launch is part of a broader plan that includes seven vehicles by 2030, aiming to cover various midsize and compact segments with diverse propulsion options.

Both models are to be produced at the CEER manufacturing facility in King Abdullah Economic City. The sedan is 5.26 meters long, while the SUV is 5.02 meters long, with both measuring 2.1 meters in width. CEER was established by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) in 2022, in partnership with Taiwan’s Foxconn, positioning itself as Saudi Arabia’s first automotive brand.

Exobot boasts impressive specifications, rated at 1,111 horsepower and 1,500 Nm of torque. The sedan can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 2.1 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h, while the SUV achieves the same in 2.4 seconds, topping out at 210 km/h. Both models feature a 112 kWh battery, offering ranges of up to 670 km for the sedan and 560 km for the SUV, and can be charged from 10-80% in under 30 minutes.

The vehicles, introduced at a ceremony led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, are projected to contribute significantly to the economy, with expectations of generating $8 billion in GDP contribution by 2034 and sourcing 45% of materials locally.
