The Science Museum in London is hosting a new space-themed experience called the Pokémon Space Trail, starting on October 2. This collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) combines Pokémon with real stories of European space science across several galleries.
Visitors can embark on an adventure that connects the worlds of Pokémon with scientific exploration. Highlights include large-scale installations featuring beloved Pokémon like Pikachu, Lunatone, and Arceus. The trail in the Space gallery will discuss NASA and ESA’s Artemis program and its connection to the moon in both science and the Pokémon universe.
After completing the trail, fans can visit a dedicated Pokémon gift shop on the museum’s mezzanine, offering various Pokémon and ESA merchandise, including limited-edition astronaut Pikachu plush toys. Visitors must reserve a free timed ticket for the shop in advance due to purchase limits on certain items.
The Pokémon Space Trail runs from October 2, 2023, to January 3, 2027, and will feature a variety of merchandise including clothing, stationery, and items from the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
In addition, the Pokémon Company has collaborated with Not A Hotel to create a giant Poké Ball guesthouse in Hokkaido, Japan.
