Lake City, S.C.: The downtown area came alive Saturday for the annual Crossroads Music and Market Festival, hosted by the Greater Lake City Chamber of Commerce. This vibrant event aimed to attract visitors and boost local businesses with a mix of live music, food, games, and family-friendly activities.
The festival featured performances by local bands and dancers, alongside free face painting and family photo opportunities. Collaborating with ArtFields Junior and sponsored by McLeod Health, the festival aimed to foster community spirit and support the local economy.
Kendall Follin, the Chamber’s executive director, noted that local businesses often experience a significant uptick in sales during the festival, which is one of the event’s primary goals. Communities come together to support initiatives like this, showcasing what makes Lake City unique.
In addition, a car show showcased over a dozen vehicles, further enhancing the day’s festivities. Past festivals have attracted crowds exceeding 1,500 people, and organizers are already planning for an even bigger event next year, with hopes for additional sponsorships and involvement from local businesses.
