Providence, R.I. (WJAR) — A multi-vehicle crash late Friday night at the intersection of Thurbers Avenue and Prairie Avenue resulted in seven people being hospitalized, including a police officer. The incident occurred while the officer was responding to a service call and involved a police cruiser being struck by another vehicle, which led to a chain reaction with two additional cars.
The police officer has since been released from the hospital, while six other individuals were admitted for various complaints of pain. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing.
