The U.S. Army is spearheading microreactor initiatives per Executive Order 14299 to establish operational reactors by 2028. With plans to invest $2.2 billion in partnerships for new reactors at military bases, the army aims to catalyze the development of advanced nuclear technologies across the country.
Government support and favorable regulations are expected to spur rapid advancements in microreactor technology over the coming years.
