LIVE: NASA’s Artemis II Crew Visits Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — NASA’s Artemis II mission crew is set to discuss their space experiences during a news conference on Tuesday in Huntsville.
NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Hammock Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen, will take questions from reporters at noon CDT at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center.
Koch has a special connection to Alabama, having attended Space Camp at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center as a young student—a reward from her parents for good grades. During her 2019-20 mission to the International Space Station, she participated in the first all-female spacewalk and set the record for the longest spaceflight by a woman.
Earlier Tuesday, the astronauts visited Marshall’s workforce.
Artemis II represents NASA’s first crewed mission in the Artemis campaign aimed at returning humans to the moon and laying the groundwork for future lunar exploration.
