Goldfish is set to launch its first-ever certified gluten-free cheese crackers, named Goldfish Gluten Free, starting this November. This new product aims to cater to customers with gluten sensitivities, inspired by fans like a young girl named Brooklyn, who wrote to the brand about her celiac disease preventing her from enjoying her favorite snack.
Celiac disease is an autoimmune condition where the small intestine gets damaged by gluten in genetically predisposed individuals. According to the Celiac Disease Foundation, about 1 in 100 people worldwide are affected, yet only 30% are properly diagnosed.
Ingredients and Flavor
The gluten-free crackers are made with 100% real cheese and carry the “certified gluten-free” label. Goldfish promises to maintain the playful fish shape and the signature cheddar flavor that fans love, making it a snack option parents can feel confident about serving.
Tiphanie Maronta, senior vice president of Goldfish Crackers, expressed that they have received feedback from many families who enjoy Goldfish but have been unable to do so together. The new offering will allow more families to share those snack experiences.
