With the launch of Ask AI, Kayak aims to meet the increasing demand for travel linked to the World Cup. This feature allows users to easily input their travel requests using natural language, adjust itineraries, and compare prices from various travel providers without having to restart their searches or switch between tabs. The melding of conversational search technology with existing booking tools enhances the overall travel planning experience.

As travel interest in the tournament grows, Kayak has noted significant increases in flight searches. According to their data, searches for flights to U.S. host cities have risen by 23% compared to last summer, and prices along with availability are anticipated to fluctuate in the upcoming months.

To further assist travelers, Kayak is introducing a dashboard that tracks World Cup-related travel trends. This dashboard will leverage their extensive search and pricing data to highlight shifts in demand and travel costs. Initial findings indicate that Kansas City is becoming a rapidly emerging travel destination, with flight searches soaring by 168% year over year. Furthermore, hotel prices are on the rise across host cities, with increases of 36% in the U.S., 55% in Canada, and a striking 119% in Mexico. The interest from international travelers is also notable, with those from Germany, the United Kingdom, and Colombia searching for flights to the U.S.
