A Florida mother, Irene Miller, was arrested after allegedly leaving her four children, aged 14, 12, 11, and 9, home alone while she traveled to Las Vegas for work. The incident came to light when a 911 call was made after a dumbbell fell on the 9-year-old’s head. Authorities found the children unattended and learned Miller had planned to return on October 23.
Miller claimed she hired a babysitter to check on the kids, but authorities subsequently contacted their father, who took them in. Upon her return to Florida, Miller was arrested on four counts of child neglect and booked into jail with a bond set at $4,000.
The case has sparked mixed reactions online, with some supporting Miller and others commending law enforcement for their actions. It remains unclear whether she has retained legal counsel or entered a plea.
