A woman experienced a close encounter with a great white shark while trying to pet it from a fishing boat, prompting the shark to thrash and lunge. The incident, captured by Knot Lucky Fishing, raised initial concerns among viewers, but the crew assured that the woman was never truly in danger as they had control of the shark at all times.
The organization, which provides free fishing trips to veterans and their families, is based in Savannah, Georgia. They are part of a White Shark Tagging Program in collaboration with several research initiatives aimed at studying and preserving these marine creatures.
The shark in the video could not be tagged due to safety concerns for both the crew and the animal, highlighting the delicate balance between wildlife interaction and safety during such activities.
