Coldwater Ponderosa Steakhouse Celebrates 7 Years of Success
COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Ponderosa Steakhouse is celebrating seven years under the ownership of Darren and Trienne, marking a significant milestone for this beloved community establishment.
Darren and Trienne took over and reopened the restaurant in September 2019 through their company, Clarke Stampede, after it had been closed for over six months. Both have a longstanding connection with Ponderosa; Darren, who started as a dishwasher in Columbus, Indiana, in 1990, climbed the ranks to become General Manager. He played a pivotal role in launching the original Coldwater Ponderosa in February 1995. Trienne joined the Coldwater team a few months later as a cashier and eventually became General Manager from 2005 to 2011.
With the help of Darren’s family, who operate locations in Bay City and Clare, the team has successfully revitalized the western-themed steakhouse and buffet. Over the past seven years, Ponderosa has established itself as more than just a dining spot; it has become a vital part of the Coldwater community, providing local jobs and actively engaging in community support through food donations, financial assistance, and partnerships with local organizations.
As they celebrate this anniversary, the ownership team expresses deep gratitude to their guests, staff, and community partners, looking forward to many more years of service in the area.
