A university video captures the event, showcasing how students and recruiters engaged on campus to discuss internships, career paths, and desired candidate skills.
Employer Engagement
Employer participation was crucial, as representatives actively recruited and spoke directly with students about available positions and what they seek in interns and employees.
Participating organizations included notable companies such as:
- Hybar (event’s primary sponsor)
- J.B. Hunt
- Watco
- New Horizon Bank
- Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration
- H&R Block
- State Farm
- Enterprise Mobility
- Centennial Bank
- Northwestern Mutual
During the open house, students introduced themselves to recruiters, asked questions, and explored various industries, gaining comfort in conversations with potential employers. The event also provided them with exposure to career paths they may not have previously considered.
Student Testimonials
Students heard testimonials from fellow Griffin students who had completed internships. These testimonials highlighted on-the-job learning experiences, skills developed, and insights into what they want for their future careers.
By bringing employers, recruiters, and students together, the Internship Open House offered a practical way for Griffin students to explore opportunities, build connections, and understand how internship experiences can lead to the next step in their careers.
