Arcadia, a nostalgic arcade in Burley, Idaho, has been providing local entertainment since its opening in 2021. Alex Mortensen, a local resident, started the business to fill a gap for fun activities in the area. The venue features a two-story layout with modern games upstairs and a collection of retro 80s arcade machines downstairs, totaling about 100 games, including pinball machines.
The community’s response has been overwhelmingly positive, with Mortensen emphasizing the importance of a safe, social environment for families, particularly as online gaming grows in popularity. To better serve local preferences, they conducted a survey that drew over 1,100 responses.
Arcadia is launching weekday specials, including half-price games on Mondays, double tickets on Tuesdays, free play on retro games every Wednesday, and a Thursday promotion with a boba drink purchase that offers additional game credits. The arcade aims to be a fun, local gathering spot for all ages.
