A car crashed into a business on the 700 block of Footbill Boulevard in San Luis Obispo around 11:30 a.m. on October 5. According to police, the driver accidentally pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake. The business, which is set to become a Pilates studio, has not yet opened.
The owner, Marissa Wilson of Powerhouse Fitness, was on a Zoom call discussing the upcoming grand opening on October 17 when she learned about the crash. She expressed her shock, saying, “Oh no, what’s happening?”
Fortunately, the driver was not injured, but the building sustained damage, including a broken front window. Wilson indicated that while the opening may be delayed, they hope to start operations soon.
