Four juveniles are accused of stealing a car in Superior Township and crashing it in Ypsilanti, according to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office. At approximately 11:58 p.m. on Sunday, deputies were alerted to a stolen car headed south toward Holmes Road. The vehicle, a blue Chevrolet Cruze, was observed speeding but deputies could not catch up.
The car subsequently crashed into an occupied residence on Ridge Road and Clark Road. Fortunately, neither the juveniles nor the residents were injured. The juveniles were evaluated by first responders and later returned to their parents. The incident is currently under investigation and will be reviewed by the Washtenaw County Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office.
