Rogers State University (RSU) and the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) have teamed up to offer an Accelerated Master’s Program aimed at computer science students pursuing careers in cybersecurity.
USAO students can earn up to 12 graduate credit hours from RSU during their junior and senior years, which can count toward both their bachelor’s degree and RSU’s Master of Science in Cybersecurity Policy, Governance, and Training.
Dr. Rachel Jones, dean of USAO’s School of Science and Kinesiology, expressed enthusiasm for the program, highlighting its focus on both foundational knowledge and practical skills. The initiative responds to legislative demands for quicker workforce readiness.
Students from USAO with a GPA of 3.0 or above can gain conditional acceptance into RSU’s graduate program, allowing them to achieve both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in under five years. This partnership is designed to help students save time and money while equipping them with essential skills for the workforce.
