Gamers from Across the Country Gather for Nuke-Con in Council Bluffs
COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa — Nuke-Con concluded its three-day tabletop gaming convention on Sunday at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, attracting players from the region and beyond.
The event, held from October 2–4, featured a variety of activities including board and card games, roleplaying games, tournaments, vendor booths, and opportunities to learn new games. David Moore, a board member of Nuke-Con, noted that many attendees came from the Omaha metro area, while others traveled from as far as Pennsylvania and Georgia. “So this is kind of a nationwide type event,” Moore stated.
The convention is organized by volunteers and welcomes players of all ages and experience levels. Organizers are already working on plans to enhance next year’s convention, aiming to make it even bigger and better.
