Georgia Tech and Amazon Establish Research Center for AI, Robotics, and Logistics

Georgia Tech and Amazon have established the Georgia Tech-Amazon Science Hub, reinforcing their decade-long research collaboration. The hub will focus on areas like autonomous systems, logistics infrastructure, and low-Earth-orbit communications, enhancing partnerships between faculty and Amazon scientists.

The initiative also includes symposia and workshops to connect researchers and promote community outreach. Georgia Tech is joining the Fauna Robotics ecosystem to explore human-robot interaction using the Sprout research platform, which allows researchers to study mobility, perception, and manipulation.

Amazon has invested over $30 billion in Georgia since 2010, supporting more than 30,000 jobs. Its teams in Atlanta work on supply-chain optimization, logistics technology, and cloud computing.
