The Houston Cougars are set to unveil unique helmets inspired by the solar system, featuring designs that resemble astronaut helmets, complete with a planet reflecting off the visor. This release coincides with their game against the University of Central Florida Knights, known as the “Space Bowl.”
The helmets, part of the Cougars’ Built By Houston series, will see varying numbers of players representing each planet—starting with 45 players for the Sun and decreasing to just one for Pluto. The new designs promise to be a striking addition to college football aesthetics.
UCF will also debut a fresh look for this matchup, creating an exciting visual spectacle on the field. Last season, the Cougars came out on top against the Knights, but UCF leads the all-time series.
