The Eugene Science Center is celebrating World Space Week from October 4-10 with free events, discounts, and special activities. This international celebration, established by the United Nations in 1999, highlights the contributions of science and technology to humanity. Events include solar telescope viewing, meteorite talks, and art projects, along with discounts like $2 off planetarium shows and 15% off space-themed store items.
Eugene Science Center members will have exclusive access on October 8 for a “Member Night,” featuring space-themed snacks, drinks, art projects, and a live planetarium show. Additionally, the week includes “Walk the Planets,” a live planetarium show followed by a guided walk among the inner planets in Alton Baker Park, with a $10 combo ticket available by pre-registration.
