ICv2: Renegade and Hasbro Extend Game Licensing Agreement

Renegade Game Studios and Hasbro have announced the renewal of their partnership for producing tabletop games that leverage Hasbro’s popular properties. While the specific term of the renewal hasn’t been disclosed, Hasbro’s SVP Global Licensing, Marianne James, mentioned plans for games extending into 2027 and beyond.

Upcoming releases will feature new editions of Renegade’s role-playing games (RPGs), including the Transformers 2nd Edition, G.I. Joe 2nd Edition, and Power Rangers 2nd Edition RPGs, which will initially be available on BackerKit before hitting retail shelves.

The licensing agreement encompasses well-known brands such as M.A.S.K., My Little Pony, JEM and the Holograms, and ROM the Spaceknight, along with established tabletop games like Axis & Allies, Diplomacy, Heroscape, Robo Rally, and Ikusa.

Renegade’s partnership with Hasbro dates back to 2018, starting with Power Rangers. Recently, they’ve also published games associated with Wizards of the Coast’s Dungeons & Dragons franchise. Notably, Renegade is set to shift its RPG offerings in 2027, concluding its publishing relationship with White Wolf regarding World of Darkness games.
